Physicians (and in some provinces nurse practitioners) can issue a \u201cmedical document\u201d (kind of like a prescription) to patients if they deem it clinically appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After getting the document, patients can purchase cannabis products from <em>licensed producers<\/em> (LPs).
